An ice dam is a wall of accumulated ice that forms when snow melts on a slanted roof. The snow is melted by heat escaping the roof, so the snow melts and the water then refreezes at a different spot on the roof. As more snow melts and runs into the ice dam, drainage issues arise, and water can begin to creep underneath roof shingles and cause leaking inside your home.
If you're concerned about ice dams causing damage to your roof, give Integrity Exteriors a call at 763-753-2246 for ice dam removal. We use special equipment to safely melt any ice dams present on your roof, reducing the risk of damage and leaking from melted snow.

High-Return Renovations
When renovating your home's exterior, it's important not only to consider what looks good and adds protection, but also what will provide the best return on your investment. After all, you may want to sell your home someday, and you want any renovations to add value to your home and increase its potential selling price.
One renovation that provides a good return on investment is vinyl siding. Vinyl siding is a plastic siding that is attached to the exterior of your home that adds both visual appeal and weatherproofing protection. Vinyl siding, on average, provides more than a 70% return on investment for home owners that have it installed on their homes.
Another high-return renovation is the installation of vinyl windows. These windows reduce noise and add more energy efficiency to your home. Depending on who you ask, they may or may not be better looking than another types of windows. Much like vinyl siding, vinyl windows provide a return on investment that is over 70%.
